Spend one hour with our very close relatives in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.The mountain gorillas are highly endangered and there are only 700 animals left, in 2 national parks, covering 3 countries: Bwindi in Uganda and the Virunga Mountains in Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Kick off your adventure with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a scenic journey southward. En route, pause at the equator for a memorable photo opportunity and enjoy lunch in Mbarara town. Your ultimate destination is Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you’ll arrive in the evening, greeted by the majestic mountains and lush forest vistas.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking and Community Exploration
Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime experience – Mountain Gorilla tracking. Trek through the dense rainforest in search of these magnificent creatures, spending an unforgettable hour observing their natural behaviors. After the trek, unwind amidst the stunning surroundings or opt for a community walk to interact with the indigenous Batwa people, visit a Medicine Man, explore local breweries, and learn about the Women’s Centre.

Day 3: Tranquil Retreat at Lake Bunyonyi
Following breakfast, journey to the tranquil shores of Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake and Africa’s second deepest. Enjoy an afternoon/evening boat cruise to Punishment Island, a poignant reminder of local traditions.
